Photo quality was really bad. Maybe the printer I received was a bad one. I don't know. I returned mine in a heartbeat.
I am, however, disappointed that I can't seem to get more than 70-80 prints out of one ink cartridge. I read the reviews before buying this printer and I was not disappointed in the quality of prints. They are amazing. That factor, along with the expense of even cheap photo paper, equals an expensive set of prints. I have resolved to print on it occasionally, but I continue to shop for online deals, such at 10 cents a print, because these turn out to be much cheaper in the long run.
HP paper causes the ink to smear. That is okay, I mainly print 4 X 6 and 5 X 7, anyway.
However, there needs to be a way to edit photos that are being down loaded and printed on site from a memory card. A very good little printer, easy to carry around and can be set up just about anywhere.
I also have to use my home printer if I need a 8X10. After shooting a fashion show, although I had the printer with me, I had to take the card home and download on my home printer to edit, before printing.
The first photos that were taken of the models were too dark when just downloaded and printed on site. Another concern was the photo paper, this little number only prints on canon paper.
I can only use cannon paper in this printer
It meets my needs. I have sets of professional prints that aren't a speck better than the ones I've printed out.
It took a little minute to read the manual and get it all set up, but after that, it is a breeze to operate. The picture quality is as good as I have ever seen anywhere using the PhotoPlus glossy paper.
I received a Canon PIXMA mini320 about a month ago. I can't imagine how a photo printer could be better than this one unless you want to print larger than 5x7.
So far I have printed sixty-two 4x6 pictures with one ink cartridge, and showing two bars left on the screen. Of course the advantage of using a printer like this is you can print anything you want to and have it in your hands in a minute.
I am printing directly from my computer, so don't know about prints from other devices. On the other hand, I should add that if you want good prints the first half of the battle is starting out with decent photos, and the second all-important part is to have a quality editing program such as Photoshop Elements, or at least Picasa 3, which is a free download.
I bought this printer to take on my trips and I love the size and the pictures are just beautiful. HIGHLY RECOMMEND
